After gaining a BSc Honours Degree in Land Management from Reading University, Howard soon qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1986 and was elected a Fellow of the RICS in 1998. After an initial career undertaking mainstream commercial property work, Howard developed a specialism in the leisure sector advising on property matters relating to pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels and clubs. He acts as an Expert and Arbitrator in this area.

Howard has been an accredited Mediator since 2005 through the Academy of Experts and was also accredited as a Mediator by the RICS in 2009. He was involved with the trial of mediations in the Central London Courts in 2005/2006 and since then has undertaken a number of successful mediations through the National Mediation Helpline system. Whilst he is obviously well placed to assist with cases in the leisure sector he is used to dealing with mediations involving a wide range of property related matters.

Chris Edwards has 40 years experience as a specialist in commercial property management matters. 

Chris is chair of the RICS Commercial Market Board and has advised both the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Department of Communities and Local Government on a range of commercial property issues.  He was a member of both the previous pan-industry steering groups for the two editions of Service Charges in commercial property: a guide to good practice and was elected chair of the pan-industry service charge group that created the RICS guidance notes: Service Charges in Commercial Property launched in June 2006 and now fully operational as The Service Charge Code.

He lectures extensively on current commercial property matters and the RICS code on commercial service charges. 

Since 1975, he has also acted for a substantial range of owners of commercial property - including institutions, listed and private property companies as well as private individuals, giving him a substantial range of knowledge and experience of landlords' approaches to service charges and commercialisation matters.

Inevitably there are times where disputes cannot be settled by negotiation and Chris is frequently called upon to act as an expert witness. He is a member of the Standing Conference for Mediation Advocates and can present one party's view in a mediation as required.

Alternatively, in terms of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), he is an accredited mediator and a member of the RICS' Presidents' panel of Independent experts and can facilitate settlement or determine disputes as the parties instruct.

Dominic Stanger qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1989 having completed a Bsc degree in Estate Management at Reading University. He has over 20 years experience in private practice as a general practice surveyor and therefore has wide experience in all aspects of commercial and residential property.

Dominic has a special interest in dispute resolution, and is on the RICS president's panel receiving appointments to act as Arbitrator and Independent Expert in property disputes. Dominic is also trained as an Expert Witness and has experience in giving oral evidence in both County and High Court.

More recently he has expanded this interest in resolving disputes by completing training as an RICS accredited Mediator, where he was praised for his assured, open and engaging style.

David Booth is an experienced conservation planner with a background in architecture and surveying. He has over 25 years experience within local authority Building Control and Planning sections and is now working as a historic building and conservation planning consultant.

Experience includes negotiating planning applications in relation to design and historic environment matters, undertaking site inspections and recommending decisions based on national guidance and conservation legislation. He has also given evidence at planning appeal hearings

David can also carry out building surveys and deals with specification of traditional materials and techniques and undertakes historic building analysis is relation to undertaking repairs and alteration, including writing Planning and Heritage Statements if required.

Nick is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, having been elected to membership of the Institution as a Professional Associate in October 1973 and made a Fellow of the Institution in April 1986.

He was elected a full member of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers in 1979.

He is an RICS Accredited Mediator.

Nick has extensive experience in the valuation and sale of residential and rural property in Cheshire, South Lancashire, North Derbyshire and around the fringes of Manchester, through his links with Frank R Marshall & Company.

Nick is a past Regional Chairman, past National Chairman and former President of the National Homes Network of Independent Estate Agents.

He regularly undertakes valuations for court proceedings, acting in the role of Expert Witness.

Nick is a general practice Chartered Surveyor specialising in:

  • Residential and specialist property sales and valuations
  • Residential planning and development
  • Building surveys and homebuyer reports
  • Expert witness in building and property disputes
  • Agricultural and rural property sales and valuations
  • Compulsory purchase compensation - law and practice

Robert is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, having been elected to membership of the Institution as a Professional Associate in 1978 and was awarded membership of FIABCI, the International Real Estate Federation, in the same year.

He is an RICS Accredited Mediator.

Robert has extensive experience in the valuation and development of commercial property across the country (and as far afield as Australia and the Caribbean) but mostly practices in the South-east of England and, through his links with Harrison Goaté, in Central London.
