Another successful Mediation Matters seminar

Fri, 14 March 2014

The Dispute Mediation and SCMA annual conference at Warwick yesterday provided high quality training for professional mediators. The event was given a keynote address by Michel Kallipetis QC one of the countries leading mediators, who gave a resume of the current status of mediation in England. Professor Elizabeth Stokoe of Loughborough University set of the day well and provided a highly entertaining and remarkable insight on how the use of language can influence decisions. The day also consisted of role play moderated by Prof Andrew Goodman, with delegates providing a high level of interaction. The rogue mediators and Rouge Lawyer were identified as part of the training session. Finally Gill Rouse presented a work place mediation and provided information on how workplace mediation can differ from Civil & Commercial mediation. A big thank you to all the speakers and participants and staff of Arden - University of Warwick, who provided the talks, role-play and exceptional hospitality in a quality environment. Make sure you book a place at next years event.
