Who we are
The Dispute Mediation Consultancy is leading provider of independent Accredited Mediators practicing throughout England & Wales. Quality is assured through our Civil Mediation Council (CMC) accreditation and professional regulation for our surveyor mediators by the RICS and for our legal mediation practicioners through both the Solicitors Regulation Authority and Bar Standards Board.
DMC & SMCA work together to ensure continued training for both mediators and private clients with a priamary objective of raising the awareness of Alternative Dispute Resolution services including Mediation.
The Standing Conference of Mediation Advocates is an accredited advocacy training provider to the Bar Standards Board, ILEX, and RICS, and provides training for local Law Societies and member firms.
What we provide
Dispute Mediation Consultancy in conjunction with the Standing Conference of Mediation Advocates (SCMA), offer a range of in house training & consultancy in conflict management. We provide access to some of the UK's top conflict management and mediation practitioners and trainers, providing a range of in-house training and consultancy in conflict management and dispute resolution. All workshops, which are highly interactive and focus on communication skills, can be tailored to your own requirements

Prices fixed at £1700 + travel expenses and VAT per half day course (3 hrs)
£3000 + travel expenses and VAT per full day course

The course are designed to be highly inter-active with participation by all delegates in exercises and role play. A good standard of spoken English is required. Andrew Goodman a leading expert in the field of Dispute Resolution.
Andrew Goodman LL.B., MBA, FCIArb, FInstCPD, FRSA, Barrister
Andrew Goodman has been a barrister since 1978 and an accredited CEDR mediator since 1993 practising in commercial, construction, partnership, franchising, professional negligence and farming disputes. He has been recommended as a leading junior in professional indemnity work in the Legal 500 for 14 years and for four years was listed in Chambers Directory as a leading practitioner is ADR. He is currently Professor of Conflict Management and Dispute Resolution Studies at Rushmore University and undertaking doctoral research in mediation dynamics at Birkbeck College, University of London. He is a past member of the Civil Mediation Council. He was requested to submit evidence to Lord Woolf's Committee on Access to Justice on Court Annexed ADR Practices in other jurisdictions, and on mediation practice to Lord Justice Jackson's review of civil costs. Between 2001 and 2003 he served as a Nominet UK Domain Name Panel Expert. He is currently a member of the Bar's ADR Committee and a mediation advocacy trainer. He devised the course for and is Director of Accredited Mediator Training for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He is a guest lecturer on ADR for the Lord Chancellor's Visiting Chinese Lawyers' Fellowship Programme and a visiting lecturer on the LLM/MA Dispute Resolution courses respectively at UCL and SOAS, and has lectured on and provided training in mediation advocacy at the ICC in Paris, and in the UAE. He has recently lectured members of the Dutch, French, Flemish and Croatian judiciaries and been invited to do so in China, Malaysia, Ghana and Nigeria
Andrew is the author and editor of over 30 books including Mediation Advocacy (With Alastair Hammerton)(Xpl 2007), How Judges Decide Cases: Reading, Writing and Analysing Judgments (Xpl publishing 2006),and Influencing the Judicial Mind: Effective Written Advocacy in Practice (Xpl 2006). In April 2006 Andrew Goodman established Xpl-Professional Skills Training offering bespoke in-house specialist and advanced training in specialist and written advocacy and mediation representation/advocacy: see www.xpl-pst.com
He has written for Commercial Lawyer and appeared on Legal Network Television, Yorkshire Television, ITN News at Ten, the Discovery Channel, BBC Radio 4, Radio London, GLR and London Live, Radio Essex, Kent, Lancashire and the World Service. He has also written a number of books on late Victorian theatre and acted as a technical consultant on the Oscar-winning Mike Leigh film Topsy-Turvy and for a PBS documentary in the United States.
